My Morning Skincare Routine

My Morning Skincare Routine

A year ago, my routine was to use whatever products I had purchased or accumulated through free gift with purchase. I figured I could save on skincare and splurge on makeup. I mean, your skin gets covered up anyways! Over the past nine months, however, I have reversed my thinking. The better my skin is, the less makeup I have to slap on (which works out great for me because I was never that great at it). Sure, a good skincare routine can take time. but I find I look forward to it. Twice a day, I spend 30 min+ taking care of my skin, and because i mounted an iPad by my makeup mirror, I kill two birds with one stone - keep up with my shows and get glowing skin. Now, this may not work for everyone, but for me, waking up an extra 30 min for my skincare ritual is not a big deal. In fact, I look forward to it. This week I will be discussing my current morning and evening routines. I'm kinda obsessed with The Ordinary, so you will see a lot of their products. Some products I may gush over, and some are too new to recommend. This isn't sponsored in any way; it is just what I find is currently working for me.

Step 1
Wash face with water only.

Step 2
Use NuFace for 5-10 min. I will do a more in-depth review of this product in the future, but for me, this was a game changer!

Step 3
Add hydration into skin.

1. Whamisa Organic Flowers Toner (few drops in palm of hands and pat into skin)
2. May Coop's Raw Sauce (ditto)
3. The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid and Squalane (mix a few drops of each)

Step 4
Add treatments.

1. The Ordinary Argireline Solution
2. The Ordinary Buffet Serum
3. The Ordinary Caffeine Solution (under eyes)

Step 5
Final moisturizers.

1. The Ordinary Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA
2. Belif Peat Miracle Revital Eye Cream

I make sure to wait about a minute or so between each steps. Then, after the last step I will wait about 10 minutes before starting with makeup. It takes approx 30 minutes, depending on how distracted I get :)

Hope you find this helpful.
