Top Face Powders of 2017
Again, kind of a weird category. I could have gone with top five eyeshadow palettes, I have, like, three special events a year where I use my fancier palettes. Most days, I just can’t be bothered. So, these are my favorite face powders I discovered in 2017.
Hourglass Ambient Lightning Edit Volume 3 (2017 Limited Edition)
I LOVE this product – love, love, love, love, love! This is my go-to everyday palette and it is extremely versatile. The bronzer is a great crease color and the two blushes are perfect eyeshadows. The highlighter is perfect and can be used for both a subtle and bold (with MacFix+) highlight. The two perfecting powders are the two of their best – in my humble opinion. Diffused Light is great for setting the center of the face, while dimed light is great all over. I know that $80 is expensive, but if you are a minimalist this product is for you!
Charlotte Tilbury Instant Look in a Palette in shade Beauty Glow
I am a big, BIG fan of Charlotte Tilbury’s Instant Look in a Palettes. I have all of them – yes, I have a problem! – but the Beauty Glow is my favorite. I am a warm shadow kind of gal and these shades are absolute perfection.
Marc Jacobs Eye-conic Eye Shadow Palette in shade Scandalust
Marc Jacob’s eye shadow formula is my favorite. So creamy and lasts all day – even without eyeshadow primer. I have two of the five palettes (Edgetorial is the other one, but it kind of scares me!) and each shadow is perfect. There are four different formulas: matte, satin, silk, and metallic, so there is lots of versatility.
Charlotte Tilbury Air Brush Flawless Finishing Powder (Shades 1 & 2)
Ok, by now I think I have established that if I like a product, I can get a bit obsessive. So, naturally, I bought CT’s Finishing Powder in two different shades – one for the center of my face (shade 1 and in the winter) and one for the outer part and in the summertime). This is a great powder for setting the under eye as well as building a bit of coverage. Seriously, it’s great. Try it.
